About Mary

I am a counselor, therapist and life coach in Bothell, WA and the greater Seattle area who specializes in helping women and couples move from being stuck and hopeless to feeling happy and satisfied with themselves and their relationships.

I am passionate about supporting, encouraging and inspiring my clients as they move from feeling unhappy, exhausted and miserable to feeling energized and excited about their life and future.

It’s a joy to see my clients going from a life that appears to be a “black and white” one-dimensional experience to a multi-dimensional full color experience!

As I collaborate with my clients to create the life they desire, I am awestruck by their strength and personal power.

When we work together I am there for you with compassion and a caring presence every step of the way to help you realize how to live your true life and build your resilience.

I offer several groups, which builds a community of support and maximizes your efforts and helps you build on your momentum.

Therapist and Coaching Training and Experience

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington State with a Masters degree in Family Studies from Mercer University.

I’m in private practice in Bothell, WA and have been a therapist in a variety of settings such as working on behavioral health units in a hospital, in the Emergency Room, on a Substance Abuse Unit and in Community Mental Health for the past 23 years. I provide therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups, but my specialty is working with women.

Eight years ago I began to widen the scope of my practice to include life coaching which brings a powerful action-oriented aspect to my work.

I’m a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) through the Academy for Coach Training. My training as a CPC and a Living Your Vision Coach means you can receive support and guidance around taking action to transform your life; whether this is a time to jump start your dreams, reconsider your options, re-define your relationships or get a tune up and get back on track!

I am committed to my personal and professional growth and bring my training and experience to our work together. I’m a dedicated life-long learner always interested in pursuing, integrating and sharing what I’ve learned.

I’m especially inspired by a holistic perspective and I’ve spent years learning about the mind-body-spirit connection, meditation, mindfulness, healthy nutrition, exercise, yoga and energy psychology.

Besides my comprehensive training in therapeutic modalities, I also have training in some complementary therapies such as Hypnotherapy, PSYCH-K and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) in order to enhance your growth toward optimum health, healing and wholehearted living.

My Therapy Philosophy

Wooden pathI understand the challenges that come your way as you go through the many transitions in your life. Transitions can include a relationship change,  lifestyle change, career change, loss of a family member or friend, confusion about who you are or where you want to go or the ‘empty nest syndrome’ that happens when your children leave home.

While these changes can seem daunting, you can experience a whole new sense of enjoyment and vitality in your life when you come out the other side.

I consider that life is a ‘personal growth workshop’ and it’s great to have some help from me when you’re in the middle of it and you can’t see the forest for the trees. I love to nurture, support and challenge my clients.

Relationships provide the best life has to offer when you are able to engage, communicate, and get your needs met. I assist you in  learning more about what makes a relationship healthy and how to transform yours.

Are you ready to move from your stuck painful situation and create the life you really want?
